Do you want to feel deeply satisfied, intellectually fulfilled, fully alive, and effective in your life and work? The only person who can make that happen, IS YOU. You have everything you need to chart your own future already inside of you? if you're ready to get curious and dive in. Jessie Houlihan, President at Stahl, presents "Level Up: How deep work and alignment leads to transformational growth." Integrating science, business strategy, and holistic philosophies are Jessie Houlihan's lens for life and business. Her practices and approaches have led her to create an existence and career path that reflects her vigor for life. From international environmental consulting and renewable energy development to working in global strategy for a rapidly growing tech company, she has accumulated diverse experiences and loves weaving alternative market perspectives into her current work focus, a sector that hasn't been known for progressive advancement. As the President and "Visionary" for Stahl, a commercial contractor, consultant, and now developer, she leads a team empowered to deliver #LikeNoOther partner and elevate the built experience to create a lasting positive impact. This focus didn't surface overnight; it was the result of almost a decade of focused exploration, evolution, and alignment. The deep work, initiated by lit leadership but fueled by the whole team, allowed the Company to align around shared values, mission, and vision, literally uniting their collective force from the ground up.
Jessie firmly believes that no one of us is as smart or capable as all of us together. Further, she's addicted to unleashing the limitless human spirit inside of her and those she works with. To do this, she's spent her career developing personal practices for staying rooted, creative and open to her inner voice and skills for facilitating co-creation, gently inviting collaborators to join in the pursuit of higher meaning in the work at hand. Under her leadership, the Company has grown, diversified, and expanded its focus and presence. During this session, Jessie will share elements of her personal story and philosophies woven into Stahl's monumental hero's journey, from a ship out at sea without a captain, to a focused enterprise activated to deliver and fueled by regenerative resources: PURPOSE, PASSION, and a GROWTH MINDSET.
Jessie Houlihan is the kind of person who wakes up every day with a fire to evolve and progress her Company, Colleagues, Clients, and Community. After over eight years of a shared journey, Stahl and Jessie are entwined and we know what that kind of power and focus can do. Knock her down ten times, she'll get up eleven. Her deep love for this incredible planet and the diverse people on it are the fuel she needs to tackle big issues and opportunities with spirit every day. As an impact-driven leader and our "Visionary" Jessie is focused on evolving the built environment for the success of our clients and benefit of all. She is fascinated with real estate development, design, and construction and has focused on integrating and elevating these processes, enabling our partners to accomplish their broader goals while delivering an exceptional built product with sustained value and performance. Under her leadership, the Company has grown, diversified, realigned around deep core values and mission, expanded our focus, and positioned to serve our clients #LikeNoOther contractor. Jessie hails from rural Wisconsin and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Policy and Management while also majoring in Journalism from the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities. She also completed a mini-MBA Executive Program from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. During college, she tried her hand at a plethora of work from non-profit to publishing to City government. After graduating, she worked in international environmental consulting for a firm based in Amsterdam, with a focus on renewable energy development and carbon assessment and offset. She then worked in environmental technology and fell in love with aggressive strategic development and business. Wanting to put those skills to work in the built environment due to the long-term impact of this work and a deep need to evolve the market itself, Jessie joined Stahl in 2012 and the rest is history! a rapidly evolving movie-we'd-like-to-watch kind of history. Jessie serves on the Urban Land Institute of MN Executive Committee, which advises the Regional Council of Mayors and co-chaired the creation of the Resilient Communities Product Council. She is a member of the National Sustainable Development Council for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) of North America. She serves on the boards of Playworks Minnesota and the Playwright Center. She mentors through a plethora of channels and is always open to learning from and sharing her perspective with others. In 2017, Jessie was selected as an Honoree for the Women Who Lead in the Minnesota Business Magazine. Most recently, Jessie was selected by the Twin Cities Business magazine as one of the "100 People to Know in 2019." Outside of work, Jessie loves to adventure and enjoy quality time with her three sons - Fitz, Cole, and Orion - and equally-vivacious partner, Travis. They live in Minneapolis with their ever-growing list of pets (six chickens, dog Romulus, cat Bastet, and TWO lizards - Mango and Limeonade/Stripey/Eric). Regular travel, meditation, fitness, expansive nature, and their intimate community keep Jessie and her blended family thriving. |
