May is National Egg Month and Beef Month in Iowa. To celebrate the impact of these industries in Iowa, the Iowa Food & Family Project is teaming up with several of their partners for a Food & Farm Fiesta on Friday, May 5 at the Iowa Machine Shed Restaurant. Event-goers will be able to get their Cinco de Mayo fix with free beef and egg breakfast burritos, giveaways and top prizes including a $555 Hy-Vee gift card! The event is open to everyone. Folks from the Iowa Beef Council, the Iowa Egg Council, Live Healthy Iowa, Hy-Vee, AE Dairy and Earl May will be on-hand to answer questions and participate in interviews about food, farming, health and gardening! Former University of Iowa and NFL Quarterback Chuck Long will be signing autographs at the event from 7-9 a.m.
