Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Loan Coordinator to support our loan officers in processing residential mortgage loans. The Loan Coordinator will assist with collecting, analyzing and organizing documentation, communicating with clients, referral partners and third parties, and ensuring that loan files are complete and accurate. This position is ideal for someone with excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and experience in residential mortgage lending.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers in collecting and reviewing loan applications and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with borrowers to gather required information, such as income, employment verification, and bank statements.
- Help track the progress of each loan file to ensure that deadlines are met and follow up on any outstanding documents.
- Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other third parties to obtain necessary documentation and ensure smooth processing.
- Enter borrower data into the loan origination system (LOS) and ensure that files are accurate and up to date.
- Review loan files for completeness and ensure that all necessary documentation is included before submitting to underwriting.
- Maintain regular communication with loan officers, borrowers, and other team members to provide updates on the loan process.
- Assist with scheduling loan closings and coordinating final details.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with an ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and assist in a collaborative office setting.
- Familiarity with loan origination systems (experience with systems like Encompass or Calyx is beneficial but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive).
