Our long standing client is looking to hire a Human Resources Director to sit in their West Des Moines office. In this role, you will serve as part of the leadership team, supporting the CEO and President as well as the 78 full-time employees. As a leader in this space, you will oversee payroll management, employee relations, legal compliance, talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation, and benefits administration. Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, coaching, and collaboration with business leaders for employee development, team building, performance management, and talent planning
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to employees and managers with all things related to Human Resources
  • Work with legal counsel on employee-related matters 
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Prepare and submit all necessary reports to regulatory agencies 
  • Develop learning and development initiatives
  • Review and update the employee handbook and other HR policies and processes
  • Oversee compensation structure and pricing positions and conduct market analysis to maintain competitiveness and evaluate positions 
  • Create, review, and edit job descriptions to accurately reflect job requirements and organizational needs 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Master's degree is preferred 
  • HR Certifications are preferred
  • 8+ years of Human Resources experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to be in the office 5 days a week with flexibility as needed
