Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources
  • Develop and write compelling grant proposals, applications, and reports in collaboration with program staff, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and organizational objectives
  • Manage the full grant lifecycle, including prospect research, proposal development, submission, reporting, and compliance
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with existing and potential funders, partners, and collaborators to enhance our organization's visibility and impact
  • Collaborate with program staff to understand project needs and funding priorities, ensuring that grant proposals are aligned with programmatic goals and strategies
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and funding opportunities in the non-profit sector, and share relevant information with the team
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or advanced degree is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in federal grant writing, grant management, and partnership development within the nonprofit sector
  • Proven track record of successfully securing grants from diverse funding sources, including government grants, foundations, and corporations
  • Must be willing and able to speak to specific federal grants you have written and been awarded
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and concise proposals and reports
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with funders, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, grantmaking processes, and compliance requirements in the nonprofit sector
